Youth Classes

  • Theater for Little Kids!

    Tuesdays, 3:45 to 4:45 pm

    Taught by Jaeden Jagemann

    For Ages 3.5 to 6

    Spark your child’s imagination in Theater for Kids!, a joyful exploration of storytelling through movement and dramatic play for ages 3–6. Guided by local early childhood educator Jaeden Jagemann, young actors will build confidence, creativity, and community in a fun, supportive space—culminating in a mini performance on May 26.

  • Theater for Big Kids!

    For Grades 2nd-4th

  • Drama Club: Putting on a Play!

     Thursdays, 4:30-6:30 pm

    Taught by Erin Bogart

    For Grades 5th-8th

    This 11-week program invites students in grades 5-8 to step into the spotlight and experience the excitement of creating a play from the ground up. Young performers will strengthen acting skills, learn how a production comes together, and shine in a final show for family and friends.

  • Junior Musical Theater Show Choir

    Wednesdays, 4:00-6:00 pm

    Taught by Sadie Jones & Sierra Norford

    For Grades 5th-8th

    Show Choir is ensemble singing combined with choreographed dance and staging. Essentially, we pick a variety of musical theater songs from a variety of shows and prepare them for a performance! As we prepare, we learn musical theater skills, helping each student build a foundation in vocal technique, dance, and singing. No previous experience needed - only a love of singing, acting, and dancing! Come build friendships with students from all over Central Vermont who also love Broadway, Glee, and movie musicals.

    For Grades 8th-12th

    Together, we will work on solo and ensemble vocal techniques to enhance and elevate our skills within the musical theatre canon. Sustainable practice and full-body instrument awareness alongside character development and movement work will engage everyone in the room. We will pull from classic showtunes and contemporary pieces to showcase our strengths and grow as performers.

  • Improv & Sketch Comedy

    Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 pm

    Taught by Dominic Spillane

    For Grades 8th-12th

    This six-week, 1.5-hour improv and sketch comedy class empowers teens to create bold characters, think on their feet, and collaborate through fast-paced games and writing sessions. Students will develop their own original two-minute sketches while building confidence and comedic timing. The program culminates in a high-energy improv night for a live audience, seamlessly featuring the class’s scripted sketches throughout the show.

    For Grades 8th-12th

    In this five-week intensive, students in grades 8–12 will sharpen their musical-theater audition skills through focused coaching on song cuts, acting choices, and on-camera technique for standout self-tapes. Each 90-minute session blends performance training with practical tools to build confidence, professionalism, and ease in any audition setting. The class culminates in polished self-tape materials and a deeper understanding of how to present their strongest, most authentic work.

Adult Classes

  • Broadway Dance Break

    Wednesdays, 12:30 to 1:30 pm

    Taught by Carissa Bellando

    For Adults (18+)

    Broadway Dance is open to adults who want to bring a story to life through dance and acting.  Carissa's original choreography will be taught as we set the scene of a big Broadway musical number.  The class will begin with a warmup and progress across the floor to learn movement that will be used in the choreography and help the student get a feel of the style and time period of the show.  Choreography will be taught each week to culminate in a full Musical Theater number at the end of the series.  Come join in the fun as we bring movement to life on stage.

  • Group Voice Lessons

    Tuesdays, 12:30-1:30 pm

    For Adults (18+)

    Join this dynamic group voice class to build healthy vocal technique, expand your range, and gain confidence in a supportive, collaborative environment. Through guided warm-ups, repertoire exploration, and interactive exercises, singers of all levels grow together and discover their unique sound.

  • Burlesque Teaser

    Thursdays, 7:30-9:00 pm

    Taught by Doctor Vu

    For Adults (18+)

    Join Doctor Vu for an exciting 6-week class that invites you to sample the diverse world of burlesque technique and props. Each week focuses on a different skill, from chair work and floor work to boas, fans, and neo-classic tease, giving you a chance to explore what resonates with you. Whether you're new to burlesque or looking to expand your repertoire, you'll build confidence and discover your personal style in a supportive environment.

  • Sensual Silly Goose: A Movement Class

    Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm

    Taught by Shannon Kelly

    For Adults (18+)

    An adult dance class focused on having fun, playing with expression and getting a workout. We will play with dance technique, physical comedy, getting in touch with our sensuality and not taking ourselves too seriously. Come build community and loosen up with this fun and sexy class. We will get a workout, do some fun theater type exercises and learn choreography each week. Drop ins welcome.

  • Acting: Technique & Scene Study

    Thursdays 7:30-9:00 pm

    Taught by Joanne Greenberg

    For Adults (18+)

    Acting: Technique and Scene Study will build on your previous acting training and/or experience, furthering your ability to handle scripted material authentically and creatively while having a blast doing the work! We will explore such aspects of performance as script analysis, character development, and physical commitment, mainly through the process of partnered scenework. The series may culminate in a scene showing for an invited audience.

Attendance & Refund Policies

Attendance

Regular attendance is important to ensure a positive learning experience for all students. Please let us know in advance if a student will miss a class by emailing us at info@mpa-hub.org.

  • We do not offer refunds, credits, or make-up classes for student absences.

  • If a class is canceled by our organization (e.g., due to weather, staff illness, or other unforeseen issues), we will offer a make-up class or issue a credit.

Refunds

Tuition is non-refundable except in the following cases:

  • If a class is canceled before it begins due to low enrollment or other reasons, you will receive a full refund.

  • If you withdraw at least 7 days before the first class, you may request a full refund minus a small administrative fee of $15. 

  • After the class begins, no refunds will be given for any reason, including illness, scheduling conflicts, or missed classes.

Special exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis due to medical or family emergencies.
