Broadway Dance Break
Wednesdays, 12:30 to 1:30 pm
Taught by Carissa Bellando
For Adults (18+)
Broadway Dance is open to adults who want to bring a story to life through dance and acting. Carissa's original choreography will be taught as we set the scene of a big Broadway musical number. The class will begin with a warmup and progress across the floor to learn movement that will be used in the choreography and help the student get a feel of the style and time period of the show. Choreography will be taught each week to culminate in a full Musical Theater number at the end of the series. Come join in the fun as we bring movement to life on stage.
-
Acting Intensive: Making Strong Choices
Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Taught by Quinn Rol
For Grades 8-12
This class aims to bring a conservatory experience on a tiny scale. We'll warm-up together, practice freeing ourselves of inhibitions through games and theater exercises, spend time on the basics of script analysis, and work together on short scenes. After six weeks, students will leave with a clear idea of where and how to work on a script, and with respect for their own agency as artists.
