Reviewing their latest release, May 2025's, Anachronist, Seven Days wrote that “in their second decade, they remain as vital as ever.”

The Martha’s Vineyard Ferries is a rock band featuring Elisha Wiesner (Kahoots) on guitar, Bob Weston (Shellac, Volcano Suns, Mission of Burma) on bass guitar, and Chris Brokaw (Come, Codeine, The New Year) on drums, with 5 records and over 15 years of playing together under their belts. They seamlessly and powerfully trade off as primary songwriters, drawing from their collective experience in their other bands to make music that's familiar and distinct in the best way.

Eagerly joining us from a continent away is Ronan OneManBand, a charming, powerhouse of a performer with a voice of gravel and smoke. His raw, emotive delivery, his sonic force, and his vocals that sound like they were hewn straight outta the earth will pull you into a trance you’ll never want to leave.

Join us for a joyous celebration of music-making at the piano! This Community Piano Recital is open to all ages and levels of performers, whether you are participating in other components of the festival or not. You can perform solo piano of any style or genre, including your own composition, or you can also bring an ensemble as long as the piano is featured (please email info@festivalforcreativepianists.org to approve your ensemble). This is an opportunity to perform for fun with like-minded creative pianists and lovers of piano music.

Alongside Debussy and Scriabin, the recital features selected Abundant Silence Composition Contest Winners. Though distinct in compositional language, each of these works share a strong affinity for idiomatic piano writing and a keen sensitivity to color, resonance, and gesture. The recital places sound at the center, inviting a hedonistic listening experience. To quote Debussy: "in music, pleasure is the law."

This Spring we had two groups working on musical theater performance and they are excited to share their show choir songs with you! The evening will include two choreographed songs by our Junior Show Choir (5th-8th grade) and three songs by our Senior Show Choir (9th-12th Grade).

In this duo, delicacy and power find each other. François-Félix Roy draws from Québécois traditional tunes, Scandinavian melodies, archival songs, and mouth music to build a rich, layered guitar repertoire. Mélissandre T-B responds in movement — her distinctive language weaving Québec step dance, ballet, and contemporary forms into something spontaneous and precise at once. By turns playful, dramatic, and virtuosic, their performance is a conversation between two artists who share a deep reverence for tradition and a restless creative curiosity. The result is a finely crafted encounter where music and dance don't merely coexist — they listen to each other.

The first month will feature the Rich Davidian Quartet (Rich Davidian, Andy Gagnon, Michael Hartigan, and Glendon Ingalls). This is an open jam session for all ages!

On April 18 & 19, Opera Company of Middlebury’s Youth Opera (YOC) proudly presents Una giornata - a semi-staged, imaginative retelling of the beloved 24 Italian Songs & Arias, the repertoire book that has launched generations of opera singers around the world.

This is not Swedish tunes, or BalFolk, or Klezmer or Old-Time, or Irish or Quebecois. But it’s a little like all of them.

Danish fiddle music is rooted in rural dance traditions. Many of the tunes we’ll explore will be accessible, playable, danceable tunes for the dances that are done at gatherings all over Denmark. We’ll also include some of the more peculiar tunes, some crooked tunes, and some contemporary tunes.

Every year the diverse and oh-so-talented Monteverdi Music School’s faculty donate their time and art to a beautiful concert that helps them keep the scholarship fund coffers full.

The Hub presents yet another night of musical theater magic - this time bringing to life some of Broadway's secret gems lost in the Broadway Flops! What are we calling a Broadway Flop?? Well, for this evening, our artists had to choose fantastic songs from musicals that ran less than 250 performances in its original Broadway run. We have both returning and new talent in the lineup!

With their sound firmly rooted in the music of New England & Maritime Canada, Scotland, Ireland, and Appalachia, Sap Line blends these connected traditions to explore a rich palette of harmonic possibilities.  The trio adds a fresh and youthful flavor to their arrangements of energetic jigs and reels, lyrical 3-part harmony singing, and foot-stomping Old Time favorites.  Together, Sap Line taps into the legacy of musicians who have mentored and inspired them, sharing the joy of traditional music in dynamic, high-spirited performances.

Join EmaLou & The Beat as they celebrate the release of their Live Holiday Album Simple Things!

The Simple Things album release shows this December will - just like the album - feature inspired classic holiday songs, niche band favorites, inspired originals written for the album, and the beloved sing-along portion of the show! Recorded live on the 2024 Winter Solstice at Tank Recording Studio in Burlington, Simple Things and the December 12th show feature the full trio: Alayna Howard on vocals, Emma Cook on vocals, guitar, and piano, Andy Feltus on drums, along with special guest Lincoln Sprague on bass and piano.

The program also includes great pieces by Debussy, Scarlatti, the outstanding Black American composer George Walker, and Michael Arnowitt’s own creation “The Stream” based on music  of J.S. Bach.

The Hub will host an afternoon of North Indian classical Music featuring three instrumentalists. The weaving of raga (melody) and taal (rhythm) which transports listeners on a journey of improvisation is the bed rock of the North Indian tradition. Each performance is unique and can never be repeated, brought to life like an artist creating intricate expressions on a blank canvas.  The afternoon will include two unique performances.
